Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Local TV Station Tries Serious Story About ‘Poop’ Falling From the Sky

(By Jonathon M. Seidl, The Blaze) - Make sure you have nothing in your mouth when you watch the following video. I made that mistake already, and my computer paid the price. Below you‘ll find a news story covering an Indianapolis man’s claim that airlines are releasing human feces from their planes and it’s landing in his yard and on his house.

I spit out my drink after the first line.

The story is complete with a newscaster delivering a deadpan potty pun, convincing pictures, a graphic describing a resident as getting “dumped on,“ and one local man seriously convinced his yard is covered in ”poop”:
