Random Shouting Man Hops Fence, Scares Harry Smith On CBS 'Early Show'

(By Matt Schneider, Mediaite) - On CBS [yesterday] morning, a “nutty” fan of 'The Early Show' hopped the fence to get as close as possible to host Harry Smith and substitute host Rebecca Jarvis. The unidentified man yelled a few inaudible things, but concluded with “in the house.” Although he wasn’t in the house for long as security immediately yanked the Smith admirer off camera.

The hosts were visibly shocked, but did manage to recover smoothly from the unexpected surprise. Although this guy may be onto something? Maybe encouraging audience participation would increase the popularity of the ratings-hungry morning show?
