Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Chris Matthews On Obama: “Older White People Still Have A Problem With This Guy”

(By Matt Schneider, Mediaite) - MSNBC host Chris Matthews appeared on television earlier than usual [yesterday] to promote his special [last night] called “Obama’s America: 2010 and Beyond” that [reflected] on the first two years of Obama’s presidency. Matthews expressed that the general desire of American people is usually to want to see their president succeed, and offered up some controversial theories to explain why, in his opinion, Obama has yet to receive such universal praise.
