Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Harry Reid: Tea Party will disappear when economy improves

(By Ed Morrissey, Hot Air) - David Gregory looks delighted with Harry Reid’s prediction, probably because he knows just how much attention his interview with the otherwise uninspiring Senate Majority Leader would otherwise get. Reid posits that the Tea Party’s existence is owed entirely to the worst economic conditions since the Great Depression, and when those improve, the Tea Party will dissipate (via Greg Hengler):
