Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Joe Biden Admits He Loves (Loves!) The Way 'The Onion' Mocks Him


(By Mark Joyella, Mediaite) - “America’s Finest News Source,” 'The Onion', has had a bit of a field day with Vice President Joe Biden. And it’s been that way since day one, when 'The Onion' reported Biden showing up at the inauguration with a long blonde ponytail. Later, writers suggested the vice president had been “quietly singing Pearl Jam’s ‘Even Flow’ during (a) security briefing.”

And then there’s the Trans Am pic, which purports to show a shirtless and tattooed Biden washing his Pontiac. What’s he think of all the attention? “It’s hilarious.”
