Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

NBA Player Kevin Garnett Ejected for Below-the-Belt Shot at Opponent Channing Frye

(By Jonathon M. Seidl, The Blaze) - Some say NBA player Kevin Garnett is a dirty basketball player. This doesn’t help his defense.

The Boston Celtics player was ejected from Friday night’s game versus the Phoenix Suns for taking a cheap shot to the groin of an opposing player, Channing Frye. The play caused an on-court kerfuffle between the teams that ended in Garnett’s early shower:
