Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Newsweek’s Jonathan Alter: Last Presidential Candidate to Give SOTU Response Was Dole; He Forgets Obama in 2008



(Breitbart.tv) - The 'Hardball' panel used an entire segment which was supposed to be about analyzing State of the Union responses to bash Republicans. Mr. Alter seems to forget this lackluster and poorly staged response from then-candidate Obama. He looks and sounds like he's talking into his daughter's webcam on MySpace.
