The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Rosie O’ Donnell Awakened To Reality Of Universal Health Care From Caller On 7-Year Wait List

(The Blast) - Rosie O’ Donnell was awakened to the realities of socialized health care after a Canadian caller said she has a 7-year wait on the system for surgery, at one point even prompting her to ask “how can universal health care be so good if you have to wait for 7 years?”
