Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

‘You’re Simpletons’: PA Gov. Ed Rendell (D) ‘Loses His Cool’ During ‘60 Minutes’ Interview



PHILADELPHIA (WTXF-TV) – Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell‘s infamous temper flared up on Sunday night’s “60 Minutes.”

Rendell lashed out at reporter Leslie Stahl, who questioned the effect of legalized slot-machine gambling in Pennsylvania on gambling addicts.
