Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

100 People Sickened After Attending Party At Playboy Mansion

The iconic bachelor pad is under investigation by the L.A. Co. Dept. of Public Health.

HOLMBY HILLS (KTLA) -
Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion is being investigated by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health after 100 people reported becoming sick after attending a fundraiser and party there earlier this month.

The guests were attending an event on Feb. 3 as part of the annual DOMAINfest Global conference.

The 3-day conference took place at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica. On the second night, there was a party at the Sky Bar on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, and on the third night, the finale party took place at the iconic Playboy Mansion.
