ESPN’s Vertigo-Inducing Camera Angle Banned

(By Brad Cohen, SportsGrid) - Have no fear, college sports fans. You can put away the Dramamine and Pepto Bismol. The University of Kentucky has banned the seasickness-inducing overhead camera angle used during Wednesday’s UK-Mississippi State game, and it looks like ESPN may stop using it for all of its games.

Spectators of the game blasted the camera angle on the internet once they felt well enough to make it to their computers, and UK Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart received the message. Barnhart went as far as banning the camera angle from future Kentucky basketball games.

“We have expressed the concerns with the new overhead camera use at future games & will no longer approve the camera location in the future,” Barnhart said.
