Former TV Anchor Debra Gilbert Wilde Rescued After Drunk Driving Her Car Into A River

(By Alex Alvarez, Mediaite) - Debra Gilbert Wilde may have covered her fair share of disasters and accidents as an anchor for a Spokane, Washington television station, but her reporting in no way prepared her for finding herself in the middle of her own disaster.

Gilbert Wilde was driving intoxicated and ended up crashing her SUV into the river after losing control. Fortunately, she was rescued from the freezing waters by fast-acting rescue crews and eventually emerged uninjured, save for hypothermia.
