Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

HBO's Bill Maher Scoffs At NBC/MSNBC Norah O'Donnell's Claim Obama "Still the Same Centrist He's Always Been"



(Breitbart.tv) - On the February 11, 2011 episode of HBO's 'Real Time', NBC/MSNBC correspondent Norah O'Donnell claimed President Obama is a "pragmatic centrist," and that in spite of cosmetic changes "he's still the same centrist he’s always been." Host Bill Maher scoffed: "If you gave him sodium pentothal, I think he’s a centrist the way he’s a Christian – not really."
