The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Rachael Ray Picks Local Hot Dog as 'Best in South'


The hot dog made Rachael Ray's list of the top 4 hot dogs in the country, but lost out to Gene & Jude's in River Grove, IL as the best hot dog in the country.

J S Pulliam Barbecue is located at 4400 Old Walkertown Road in Winston-Salem. Pulliams opened as a foodstand in 1910. The restaurant serves hot dogs, barbeque and other side items.
