Charles Barkley To Dan Patrick: “The NBA Sucks Right Now”

(By Glenn Davis, SportsGrid) - Charles Barkley was struggling with a hoarse voice earlier today, but still called into 'The Dan Patrick Show' to take stock of the NCAA Tournament…and how he believes current NBA Draft rules undermine the pros. He might not have had much of a voice, but he knew how to use it.

Charles Barkley: “Let’s be realistic. Only one guy – LeBron James – was good enough to play right out of high school…and he’s [a] freak of nature. ... The draft is designed for bad teams to get better, not to draft somebody who might be good in five years…Look at the NBA. We have a lot of bad teams, a lot of bad teams. They’re supposed to get someone who can help them, not a project. And that’s why the NBA sucks right now.”
