Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Kids Freak Out As TX Police Officer Pepper Sprays Tiny Squirrel

(By Jonathon M. Seidl, The Blaze) - Earlier this week, we showed you how police officers in Colorado peppered sprayed an 8-year-old who was threatening teachers with a weapon. Today we show you an officer in Texas pepper spraying something else wild — a tiny squirrel.

A school resource officer in Mesquite, TX is under heavy scrutiny today after students caught him on video spraying the little creature. The students can be heard in the background screaming for him not to. He did anyway:
