NASA Postpones Space Shuttle Endeavour Launch
CAPE CANAVERAL, Florida (FoxNews.com) – NASA has postponed the launch of space shuttle Endeavour by at least 48 hours, following the discovery of a technical problem with the Auxilliary Power Unit.
"Endeavour's launch has been scrubbed for at least 48 hours because of an issue with Auxiliary Power Unit 1 heaters," the space agency tweeted at 12:27 p.m. Friday. The soonest the craft could launch is 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
Shuttle Launch Director Mike Leinbach confirmed the delay, and the issue with the heaters, which provide hydraulic power to steer the craft during ascent and descent.
