The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Appeals Court Hands NFL Team Owners a Key Victory



(AP) - The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday threw out a judge's order lifting the NFL lockout, possibly giving the league leverage in talks aimed at reaching a new labor deal.
