Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Virginia Boy Impaled Through Neck by Bamboo Spear Survives!

(By Jonathon M. Seidl, The Blaze) - A game of ninjas went horribly wrong for Dez Heal, 13, of Lynchburg, VA recently. Heal had stuck the bamboo stick down the back of his shirt, but when he jumped, it maneuvered to the front, and when he hit the ground, the stick went through his neck:
