Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Local TV Reporter Hospitalized When Shot With BB Gun During Live Broadcast

(By Matt Schneider, Mediaite) - A local news reporter in California unfortunately found herself in the news when she was shot at with a BB gun by two teenage boys. During a live report, Leanne Suter, a reporter for KABC-TV, was hit in the hand by a BB gun pellet and was taken to a nearby hospital. Luckily she was not seriously injured.

The news van was also hit by a pellet, and two teenage boys were arrested in connection with the shooting.
