Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Failed ‘Mythbusters’ Stunt Sends Cannon Ball Shooting Through a Calif. Home, Minivan!

(By Liz Klimas, The Blaze) - The Discovery Channel reality TV show Mythbusters, which seeks to support or debunk popular myths and widely-held beliefs by recreating stunts and experiments, is busted. In a test that went awry Tuesday evening, a Mythbusters’ cannonball collided through a Dublin, Calif., family’s home and minivan.
