Denise Franklin out as general manager for WFDD

(Winston-Salem Journal) - Denise Franklin, a familiar voice on Triad radio for many years, is no longer the general manager at WFDD 88.5-FM, Wake Forest University's public radio station.

On Monday evening, Franklin said, "There are a lot of talented professionals at WFDD, and I wish them the best. I can't comment beyond that."

Brett Eaton, the executive director of news and communications for Wake Forest, said, "I can confirm that she is no longer employed by the university." He said he could not comment on details of her departure.
