Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Can a Mass. Republican become prez???

I see where Gov. Mitt Romney was visiting S.C. this past weekend...

I think a more interesting question is "Can a Mormon become prez?" It would be a huge barrier to break, much like the first JFK did in 1960 by being the first Catholic elected president.

Sure looks like he's testing the waters. I must admit if he can govern one of the bluest-of-the- blue states, then he must have something special.
