Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

I do consider myself an environmentalist and I agree with you 100%. Ethanol seems like the logical solution to me. We have such an overabundance of corn in this country that we pay farmers NOT to grow it! Perhaps if the oil industry didn't have the current administration in its back pocket, something would be done. We've had the technology for years.
