Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

The Gospel According to St. Ann

I think one of the reasons liberals really hate Ann Coulter so much is that she uses their own tactics against them. Her main rhetorical weapon is sarcasm. This has been the tactic used by liberal pundits for years. The use of the tactic stems from the condition I mentioned earlier: that liberals love to portray conservatives as stupid. The derisive nature of sarcasm appears to suit that portrayal well.

I have no idea whether Ann really thinks liberals are stupid, probably not, but I think she has mastered the use of this rhetorical tactic much to the chagrin of liberals everywhere.
