I re-read the article three or four times and I can't seem to find the place where she says, implicitly or explicitly, that she thinks all liberals are secular humanists or atheists. In fact, she has been quite careful to avoid that stereotype. However, she did address secularists directly. She also refers (implicitly) to the "average" liberal as a secularist. I expect that's pretty accurate. You have identified yourself as both a secularist and a liberal, so what's the problem?
