Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Behethland responds to Steve:

I haven't seen Office Space, but my husband says it's a must-see. I think you would love "The Office". It's based on a British tv show by the same name. Very dry humor. It's on hiatus until next fall, unfortunately. Maybe they'll re-run this summer. On NBC.

I didn't find Al Franken all that funny even in his SNL days. Never watched "Politically Incorrect" but I find Jon Stewart and "The Daily Show" a hoot!
