Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Benedict 1, Europe 0

George Neumayr hits another home run. I don't believe the sentiment so prevalent among American liberals that as goes Europe, so goes the US. Europe has become degenerate, self-serving, and edges closer to universal totalitarianism every day. If the Pope can be a force for change in Europe (as was his predecessor), then so much the better. And for a bonus, he manages to be that force without beheading anyone, taking any hostages, or blowing anything up. He manages to be an agent for positive change simply by living the message he preaches.
