Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Howard Dean, the Cash-Cow Money Machine?

Now is the time for Democrats to wonder if they did the right thing when they picked Howard Dean to run the party. At the time, everybody said, "Yeah, we know he's abrasive, we know his 'Hate Bush' thing rubs some people, even some Democrats the wrong way, but man can that guy raise money."
