RE: Is the Iraqi War causing more acts of terrorism???

A few weeks after the 9/11 attacks, the "inside the beltway" crowd was blaming Dubya for letting 9/11 happen... What would have happened if the prez. asked for a pre-emptive strike against Afghanistan before 9/11; these people would have had a cow... Well, 9/11 happened, and these people were asking, "Why didn't we strike them pre-9/11 if we knew they were there???" In other words, it's damned if you do, and damned if you don't.

With regard to the WMDs: every intelligence service on the planet thought Saddam had WMDs, and they thought he had them pre-Bush 43 administration. Personally, until they can do a sweep of Syria, I'm not going to say the intel was wrong with regard to the WMDs.

I don't believe the war in Iraq is creating more terrorism... Just look at the terrorist attacks that have happened against the US in the past 25 years pre-9/11. We didn't really respond to any of the attacks, and it all built up to 9/11. In other words, "peace through appeasement" doesn't work...
