Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: John Roberts, in His Own Words: Judging him by how he judges.

Every once in a while, National Review throws out a completely content-free article. This is one of those cases. There is nothing in this article that illuminates Roberts' views on the constitution. It simply restates what has been regurgitated incessantly by the GOP spin machine: Roberts respects the law and is a fair and impartial jurist. David Souter is a fair and impartial jurist, he just happens to think the constitution is a door mat.

Nope, this one is no help at all.
