Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

It could be Gonzales. He and Dubya are good 'ol buddies, you know. Plus, Bush needs to do something that won't make either party too hopping mad right now. He already has enough heat on him with Iraq, the Karl Rove/CIA leak issue, his stalled Social Security reform, and his supposed snub of the 'religious right' that insured his re-election.
