Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Madonna fall 'will not delay CD'


Whew! Now I can get some sleep tonight.

Pop star Madonna is recovering after breaking several bones in a horse-riding accident on her country estate on Tuesday... UK spokeswoman Barbara Charone also said the accident would not delay the release of her new album in November. "Her LP is finished and is on course to come out in November with a single prior," she told the BBC News website.
