Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Bearing The Scars Of Evolution

Let me see if I have this straight. Mr. Mann would like us to discard the theology of intelligent design in favor of the theology of evolution because the human body is imperfect? And this guy is a full professor at an American University? Education in America might be in worse shape than even I thought.

The high priests of evolution never spend much time differentiating between the ideas of survival of the fittest, which is pretty well self-evident, and the origin of species, which depends heavily on magic. It is because the former is so self-evident that evolution pimps make no attempt to disabuse Joe Sixpack of the difference. It really is a shame when supposedly intelligent people prostitute their academic integrity in the name of politics.
