Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Re: Fox News: 'Liberals Are Wrecking America, But You Decide'

It's not really what they choose to feature, it's more in what they purposely choose not to feature, but I guess that can be said of any biased media outlet. Judging by how Fox News chooses to utilize their on-air minutes, you'd think that the Michael Jackson trial and Natalee Holloway's disappearance in Aruba are more important than many actual world events that don't make the latest headlines. Sure, many Fox News viewers obviously want to see that stuff over and over again, but that's not really reporting the news. That's simply pandering to an audience and avoiding stories or issues that challenge their viewpoints.
