Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Stokes County commissioner accused of breaking code

What a circus!

I'll bet the Stokes County Democrats are just licking their chops. It will be ten years in the next election cycle since a Democrat sat on the board in Stokes County. The only thing holding them back is the fact that the candidates they have been offering are even bigger clowns than some of the current board.
