Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: RE: Christianity, socialism, and Jesus

If he came today and saw that our government programs were helping the needy, he would approve.

He might approve of the fact that the needy were being helped, but you cannot demonstrate that he would approve of the method. He would not approve of the government taking from you, by force, to give to me, regardless of my need. If you think he would, then you understand nothing about his teachings on charity.

But please, by all means, let's have some scriptural references to back up your assertions.

Or is this all just based on what you "feel" his teachings are?
