RE: RE: Mexican Troops Cross into U.S. for Hurricane Relief
Oh goodie! Another one pops up out of the grass.
However, I find it difficult to accept that we, as a nation, are in this predicament in that we have vast reserves of wealth that dwarf the GNP of every nation that has offered to help.
Nice try, but this is BS. The help offered by any number of foreign countries comes to us out of one of two motivations:
First, there is genuine charity and concern for their fellow man. All you class warriors have a hard time understanding this kind of thing so I'll try to explain it for you. Regardless of the financial or social state of our fellow man, some are willing to pitch in and help to the best of their capability. It makes no difference whether it is a poor person helping a rich person or vice versa. Genuine human charity is the desire to help our neighbors, regardless of their status before or after our help is offered. Those of you who seek to divide and destroy us by inciting inter-class hatred seem to think that because a person who is in trouble happens to be wealthy (or Republican, or conservative) that they are somehow less than deserving of charity. Be ashamed. You are no better than "Demgurl" and as ye sow, so shall ye reap.
Second, as in the case of those with whom we are on less-than-friendly terms, the effort is intended as an embarrassment and to give hate-mongers and class warriors like you ammunition to use against the established order you seek to disintegrate. I have seen no indication that this was the case with anyone who offered aid to NOLA other than Chavez of Venezuela, who barely managed to disguise his motives. The fact that you facilitate this kind of behavior should make you ashamed as well.
...one would discover that the general welfare of our nation through governmental action has been so undermined by the incredibly generous tax cuts focused upon the top 1% of income earners and net worth...
You guys never give up on this kind of nonsense, do you? In the meager tax cuts that the last Congress barely managed to pass, the biggest per-dollar paid-in benefit went to people with incomes between $36,000 per year and $106,000 per year. Here's a clue for you, that is the American middle class. Your Marxist spin-doctor mentors have used absolute dollar amounts to make their spurious claims (which you now dutifully regurgitate). Of course, someone who pays $100,000 in taxes is going to reap more benefit from tax cuts than someone who pays in $10,000 (or nothing). You cannot offer a single shred of evidence to back your assertion up. It is a lie. It is crap. Move on.
...we are a bankrupt society that sees its only functions as protecting wealth, protecting the wealthy, paying for military and police forces to protect that wealth, and imprison anyone not belonging to the "ownership class" who dares to threaten the status quo.
Wow. That's a pretty cool tinfoil hat you've got there. Not only is all of that complete BS, it is a particularly paranoid and delusional brand of BS. We are not even remotely a bankrupt society. We will absorb this disaster, even including the massive amount of fraud that will inevitably occur, and we will cruise onward. Look at the evidence. A major portion of our petroleum infrastructure took a direct hit and the worst thing that happened was that a few people had to pay extra for gas. The stock markets took a slight hit but rebounded on the realization that the disaster will probably cause the Federal Reserve to stop raising interest rates. As for your "protecting the wealthy" BS, that is patently offensive. I know some cops and soldiers in front of whom I would love to see you to repeat that. You paint a marvelous fantasy picture, but it is just that: fantasy.
Additionally, the idea that the electorate made up of non-owners could overturn this situation cannot be tolerated, so that the Machiavellian solution of doing anything to maintain control (i.e. steal elections) has happened twice in the past five years and will probably continue until the general population is willing to take a clear stand against this chicanery.
More crackpot meandering. Can you offer a single shred of proof that anyone stole an election? No, but that won't stop you and your pal Michael Moore from continuing to spout this manure. Maybe you didn't notice, but the electorate took a pretty clear stand last fall. I'm no fan of George Bush or his neo-con cronies (for a diametrically opposed reason), but the population spoke loud and clear. I know you don't really like the idea of reality creeping into your clever little fantasy world, but all you have to do is take a look at one of those maps that shows precinct-by-precinct popular voting by party. And it isn't just Bush. The electorate gave the GOP a solid majority in both houses of Congress. Your side lost, dude. You don't represent America. Get over it.
