Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Ward’s Alter Gyno-Ego?

Interesting article. Churchill claimed to be one-sixteenth "Native American." At least Ortiz is claiming one-fourth. Ironically, I am one-fourth Creek Indian (my paternal grandmother's family), but I can't ever remember feeling the need to spout Marxist agit-prop in the name of my "race." In fact, most of my grandmother's family would have found Marxism to be pretty silly.

Oh yeah, and that little bit of information is yet another reason why Tucker's little troll temper tantrum was so very, very amusing. I guess that makes me the American Indian equivalent of an "Uncle Tom," eh?

Moonbats, indeed.
