Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Contributor Poll

Considering that every other economic detail of your life will remain the same, would you prefer to receive your employer’s current benefits package, or its cash equivalent?

If by benefits package you mean health insurance, I'd take the cash equivalent. I don't get sick that much (knock on wood) and our health insurance is expensive!

Now, if you throw vacation time in as a benefit I'd rather have the time off! Screw the extra money.
