Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Myrtle Beach Pavilion to close

This is sad... My parents have spent plenty of money on tickets there when me & my sisters were little kids.

Edgerton Burroughs - Burroughs & Chapin’s chairman of the board - broke down as he announced Thursday the closing of The Myrtle Beach Pavilion, a Grand Strand landmark since World War II.
