Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Virginia Foxx

I have never been a big Virginia Foxx fan, but I have to say I have been very pleased with her performance in Congress. She has not only been talking the talk, but acting pretty bravely and walking the walk. I'll be voting for her this fall if nothing changes.

I still have to decide which primary I will vote in on May 2. I expect I need to vote in the Republican primary because Joe and John Turpin are up against a pack of Marxist idiots. I briefly considered voting for the biggest clown out of the pack of clowns who are running for various nominations on the Democrat side, but that would have required no more thought than picking names out of a hat. So I guess I'll go and vote for Mike Joyce and the Turpins. At least it won't take me long to vote.

I had not heard that Virginia has a primary, but if she does, that will make four votes. Geez. I may have to go early.
