Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Hey, Big Spender

I didn't vote for Bush in the '00 GOP primary, but I did vote for him over Gore... I just can't stomach Gore. Maybe it was one of those choices where you held your nose and voted. I would still vote for Bush over Gore today because I think Gore isn't mentally stable, but that's just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth... :-)
