Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

A system that is rigged is not the democratic way

So, you think you live in a democratic society where you elect your representatives? Think again.

The two major political parties have conspired, with the help of the interest groups that control those parties, to give you about as much say in the person who represents you as Soviet citizens had in choosing a Politburo.

No kidding.
