Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Into The Sunrise: Young Americans increasingly head east to India

...and so do American jobs.

From Thursday's Winston-Salem Journal:

Such companies as IBM Corp., Dell Inc., Microsoft Corp. and Oracle Corp. have big offices here and are expanding their Bangalore work forces to tap into India's huge pool of well-trained, relatively inexpensive engineers and other professionals.
