Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Give me a break on this immigration thing!!

What part of illegal are you having trouble comprehending? How about assimilation, is that one too tough for you as well? While you're looking those two up, check out reciprocity.

I'm beginning to think that Americans never learn from past mistakes; we just keep on repeating them!

You're right. Amnesty was a dumb idea in 1984, it's an even dumber idea now.
