Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Lie down with strippers, wake up with pleas

In the end, it’s just more crap from Coulter: a 'ripped from the headlines' intro and the same old conclusion. She sure is one lazy writer.

Here, Ann starts off with some even-handed reasoning regarding the Duke Lacrosse Team, the strippers they hired, partying high school girls in Aruba, and so on. But, as usual, she soon slithers toward her predictable dogmatic thesis that 'Liberals,' Bill Clinton, and Democrats are somehow behind every bad thing that happens in America.

...every Democrat who voted for Bill Clinton feels the need to defend duplicity, adultery, lying about adultery, sexual harassment, rape, perjury, obstruction of justice, kicking the can of global Islamo-fascism down the road for eight years and so on.

Uh, wrong. The whole sentence is so full of B.S. that it's hard to refute just one accusation, but rape, Ann? How dare you, you silly nutjob. The sad thing is that some people believe everything this woman writes.

I'll bet Ann wakes up every morning and thanks God for another day with Bill Clinton. Otherwise, she and other likeminded — more like no-minded — conservative pundits would be searching for a new Liberal to demonize and blame for everything so they can get paid.

Newsflash, Ann worshippers: Bill Clinton hasn't been president for years. I know you may consider yourselves 'Conservatives,' but that's taking your whole 'living in the past' theme a bit too literally.
