Bully Pulpit

Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

Stokes board of education

"I think the way they went about it was incorrect," county Commissioner John Turpin said. "They just voted on it. They did not allow any student input, parent input. They pretty much just told everybody that next year you'll be going to North Stokes. That's pretty much a bad idea, not to let the public speak on behalf or opposing a change in the location of a child's school."
This is pretty much par for the course when it comes to the school board. They are never held accountable for anything.
