Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: Candidate for high court puts Robinson at a loss for words

Hunter has gone from being a Republican (who supported Vernon in his bid for GOP Chairman), to a Libertarian, to a Democrat, all in less than 12 months. Her quick exit from the Libertarians had less to do with their status as a non-entity in NC than it did with their refusal to have anything to do with her. The most generous thing I can say about her is that she's a flake.

Politics suck.

Actually, it's just partisan politics that suck, Strother. This has little or nothing to do with general politics. She was taking a shot at Vernon because he didn't follow her in a noisy, indignant resignation from the party after getting trounced in the Chairman election.
