Bully Pulpit

The term "bully pulpit" stems from President Theodore Roosevelt's reference to the White House as a "bully pulpit," meaning a terrific platform from which to persuasively advocate an agenda. Roosevelt often used the word "bully" as an adjective meaning superb/wonderful. The Bully Pulpit features news, reasoned discourse, opinion and some humor.

RE: RE: Coulter Calls 9/11 Widows 'Witches'

So what's your opinion about these 9/11 widows who behave as Coulter quite accurately points out.

I have no opinion on the behavior of these women. Their spouses were killed in a terrorist attack. I don't really feel comfortable passing judgment on them. I imagine that someone in such a scenario could react in all kinds of ways. Criticizing them the way that Coulter has is tacky and, for many, will indirectly call her 'cause' into question — that is if she even has one other than selling lots of books.
